On January 16th, 2012 (18:00 JST), the new .jp.net extension will be launched. The Sunrise period commences then and will end on February 17th. Applicants holding matching trademarks registered prior to or on July 31st, 2011, may apply to register domain names during this period. If more than one eligible application is received for a specific domain name during this phase, an auction process will be run.
